1. Accuracy principle
Ratings, reviews, fulfilment metrics, catalog positions and seller benefits must be based on real actions and reliable information. Self-purchases, fictitious orders, paid fake reviews, fabricated photo reviews and coordinated metric manipulation are prohibited.
2. Self-purchases and fictitious activity
A self-purchase is an order placed by a seller or a person acting for that seller from the same seller to artificially increase sales, ratings or listing position. A family relationship, shared address, device or network alone does not prove a violation; the circumstances and purpose are assessed together.
3. Reviews and incentives
Buying, commissioning or exchanging fake reviews or ratings is prohibited, as is offering money, goods, gifts or another benefit for a predetermined positive rating, change or deletion of a negative review. A neutral invitation to leave an honest review is allowed.
4. Vardine review
Vardine may verify orders and reviews using registration, payment, fulfilment, delivery and relevant activity-history data and technical signals. A shared IP address, address or device alone is not sufficient proof of a violation.
5. Ranking impact
During a review, a disputed order or review may temporarily be excluded from ranking and promotion. Confirmed genuine activity is restored to calculations; confirmed fictitious activity is excluded from rankings, recommendations, statuses and benefits.
6. Measures
For a confirmed breach, Vardine may remove or hide a false review, recalculate metrics, warn a participant, restrict promotions or paid visibility, temporarily restrict sales or block an account in proportion to severity and repetition. An authentic negative review is not removed merely because its rating is low.
7. Appeals and protection of methods
The participant is informed of the main established facts, the measure applied and how to object. Detailed technical abuse-detection methods may be withheld where disclosure would enable circumvention, but the user receives enough information to challenge the decision.
